I just put an awesome 8" Black Ghost Knife in with my 8" Oscar. So far they get along great. I pray he behaves himself. Because if i had to choose, no matter how much I love my Oscar, he will be going to the LFS.

Well this innocent looking 6+ inch Oscar took too battle with my Beautiful clown knife... ripping his skin off the side of his mouth:irked: .. Here i thought things would be fine.. the oscar never bothered the severum but wanted to take out the big guy... 17 inch CK.. anyway Oscar is in solo tank from now on....the oscar shows a few scales damaged but otherwise ok. Moral of the story... you just never know about Oscars personality.. some of them are pretty tough...View attachment 543184

Red Devil:
After reading through the thread, I noticed that the disposition of you CK was never questioned or mentioned. I know it's been a couple of months since the initial posting, but I'm curious to know how your CK is doing. Was there any scar tissue where the damage was done? I hope things are well with him. How big and how old is your CK? He is a very impressive CK. He looks absolutely beautiful and I love the light reflection quality he has about him. Is that a natural light or artifical light reflection he exhibits. A person can tell he's well cared for. My compliments to you and him.

I'm also curious how things are now...

I am as well curious. I had put my two 3 foot alligator gar in my 700 with one of my large clown knifes, a large oscar, a marble sailfin cat, and some good size pacu. Within a few days all of the fish had nice size teeth marks and bits of skin missing off of them. I moved all of them to my 300 gallon and they luckily all healed up. The ck got it the worst and he is doing just fine now. I have since taken the gars to a cabelas near me to put into their 35,000 gallon tank.

point of my story since i kinda ranted: cks are fast healers. :D
