New 10" female Barred Midas, i think?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think she looks really pretty and I would have no regrets about owning that fish! I love the blocky face! If you didn't buy the fish from a reputable, confirmed source there is no way to know what she is if you suspect a hybrid. She just looks like a Amarillo to me!

I was thinking the same! Amarillo... Maybe, but its so hard to be 100% sure. Either way she is sweet looking for sure! Take good care of her! I'd love to have her.

It is a strain of Midas Jeff brought in about 5 years ago. Very cool fish My male to to about 13" in 3 years. Dont seam to see this strain any more. The color is close to the Chancho with the green face. Very good pick up

im probably going to put in a 10" clown knife tomorrow. im removing the 3 5" senegals and the BGK. ive done my research and dont see a problem with it and the new fish. Will it be ok? just want to make sure. i know the CK will grow way bigger and faster, but he will go in the 500 gal when he does :)

after that i will try to get my hands on 3 or 4 delhezi's (anybody know where to get this?)

theres no way that's a barred midas.

that's an amarillo, by my guess
a nice *** one.

Got a 12" clown knife and a 14" common pleco(huge in girth) and put them in there. she wasnt havin it. She suddenly turned very aggressive.

i removed the 3 5" bichirs, the 6" pleco, and the 7" bgk right before i put the bigger fish in. she didnt show any aggression towards the tiny fish, but she hated these big fish. i even completely re-arranged the tank (new decorations) when i put them in there too.

She was being light at first, but she got more and more aggresive to where she was thrashing them. i had to return them to the petstore, made for a fun day. it was miserable...ugh

so i guess shes goin to be in the 75g for life. by herself.
