NEW 100US Gallon DIY tank stand....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello everyone, been mega busy for the past few months and I've hardly visited the site, so here's an update on this project.
Finally got my act together and completed the tank.
First of all I had to make the cutouts for the filter pipes, light cables etc.
Then a plywood plinth to spread the weight on the floor (suggested by my DOWNSTAIRS neighbour!!). Then it was just a case of filling it and setting it all up.

TetraTec EX1200 external filter (great and SOOOO easy to set up), Rena 300W Smart Heater - cool design and very strong. Dual lighting from Arcadia.

Stock list as follows;

2 x 5-6 inch Clowns
2 x 3-4 inch Clowns
2 x 2-3 inch Clowns
3 x little 'uns!
1 x 6-7 inch Distichodus Sexfaciatus
2 x Bristlenose Plecos
1 x 3-4 inch Daddy Convict - bred him myself.
11 x Congo Tetras ranging from 2-4 inches.
2 x 4-5 inch Synodontis Eupterus

Sorry the pics are so dark. I'll get another camera soon and get some better ones of the fish.....
Enjoy!

that looks mad i had a knee recon too snapped acl. lol although mine didnt bleed after the operation, geez 18 years without the operation musta blown.

I guess I had learned to live with it, had a scope clean out about ten years ago, but it had deteriorated again, only option at that stage was reconstruction.
Seems to have been a success, judging by these pics....

Nose wheelie 10 days ago, snowboarding last Saturday, 360 3 weeks ago!

Sounds like a big stand! Do you have a plan you can post - sounds like it could be a difficult project. How are you stacking them?

Nice stand, well done!! It looks great!

Thanks - strong and simple and surprisingly easy to build following that design.
