oh yeah that was in response to the pics question. I have to charge up my cam before I can download the pics. I am still having no luck on locating any 55 gal drums. I think I might have to fabricate my own filter for this guy. The tub works fine for now, but my fish are growing fast lol. All my fish love it. Especially the channel cats. Never seen them so active!

Why bother using a 55G drum? Go and get a huge Rubbermade tote box, I believe they make sizes larger than 55. stock that sucker with bio balls, put an inlet @ the top connected to a pump... water will fall through , and exit a hole in the lower part of the tote back into the pond... Trick being, the tote must be higher than the water level of the pond. Thats the simplest, cheapest way I can think of... A huge wet/dry. also a wise Idea to put the heater in the sump area along with an air diffusor/bubbler

I am using 3 55 gal drums conected with a settling chamber. Virtually maintenance free save for the prefilter, and turning on the bottom valves to flush the settling chambers, plus they were only 5 bucks a piece.

Hey necrocanis when do we get to see some new pics of this and see them filters you got?

Still in the works. got the idea from koi pond filters that some people have been making.

Got a new resident for the pond tonight :) 20-22" Lima Shovelnose!

This is without a doubt the single largest Lima I have ever seen anywhere, never seen pics of one this big online or seen any close to this size in an aquarium either private or public aquariums. It is HUGE! I've heard of one member who had some this size in the 50k gallon tank at one point but I think they are the only ones with Lima's this big at any time to my knowledge. Better pics to come later this week.

Also, upgraded my surface tention water pump I had a smaller rio pushing like 200gph for surface current but now am running 700gph across it with a Rio 2800 SS :)

That Lima's huge, if he can grow any more it will be in that pond.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this already, but I was just on the target website and they have that pool marked down to $75. I'm thinking at that price I can't afford not to buy one.
