New 120 gallon tank

I have a 400w in a 60x24x16 in one corner next to the spray bar so water passes the heater on the way across the tank and intake is at the opposite end so water that is furthest away comes round to the heater through the external. I have checked the temp and it is even across the tank

That would be a killer Amazon tank, some blackwater and piranhas would compliment that look, or discus.


Congrats on the tank! Go with the fx5, the xp4/3 isn't bad but the fx5 has noticeable gph increase. Either canister is good tho

Thanks, ya the manzanita will add some tannins, I only soaked it for a couple of hours and not much tannin came out, plus I love the black water look. I wanted a fx5 but they just cost so much, I ordered a xp3 and hopefully that will give me enough gph with the aqueon 75 also
