That fish is absolutely gorgeous. Is that fish is a specy tank? I wish I could have one.![]()
I think I would have gotten rid of the fire eel...lol
How big was the eel?

hi mate yes it is the only fish in there at the moment until a try and pair it up with a male . then i will try and get them to pair up and breed hopefully
so would i mate , no question about it , but the fire eel is his fav fish in there , not sure of actual size , he just told me its knocking on for 1 metre and as he told me this fish was around 15-16" and when measured it is very close to 18" i should imagine it probably is somewhere near that. i think his tank is around 8x4x? so plently of room for one to grow out in . iam not into eels that much myself but the largest i have seen elsewhere was around 2ft , so maybe just the fact he has managed to get it upto that size is a factor in why he kept the eel over the channa
cheers col

king i have heard reports of 20" specamins
i took the oppertunity of measuring the beast before i put it in the tank and it is just short (2 or 3 mm ) of 18" from tip of head to end of tail , i think it is fully grown now however
bruce - hi mate , i got it from mark at paddock farm water gardens in darlington , it was actually his fish he grew out and then put into the shop , his fully grown fire eel was attacking it
now desperatly seeking a male partner for it
cheers guys
