Can't help you there. Honestly never heard of the 3 species that you mentioned. Looking forward to seeing them though...I'm kicking around the idea of getting rid of the monsters in my 180 and going with a large community of smaller fish.

You'll regret moving away from the larger CA's. You'll always miss them if you switch.

I took a 4 year hiatus...went into high tech planted tanks...spent a WHOLE lot of money on equipment and fertilizers and a whole lotta time on trimming plants every weekend only to realize I was doing it all for tiny little boring fishes.

Only good that came from it was a higher appreciation for aqua scaping.

I'd say, buy another tank. ;) Then have both. But make sure the second is a large on because invariably, you'll get rid of the small fish and throw your monsters back in.

I think I'm going to keep my 2 10" Oscars, but get rid of the 2 peacock bass I have (14" & 9" ) and also lose the 18" TSN. My Oscars usually play nice with smaller fish (5"-6" )so I think I'll be ok with a bunch of fish in the 5-8" range. What species, idk... Maybe a decent size shoal of Spotted Silver Dollars. I have 2 in my 75 gallon already. By the time I have the room in the 180, they should be about 4" or so. So I wouldn't be going tiny fish, but nothing over the 1 foot mark except for the Oscars.

Sent from my tank!
