New 24 foot tank...need stocking advice

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is beyond amazing!
You are now a very envied (spelling?) man on here.

All I say it, take your time with stocking, once you plonk fish in there, its going to be a mean job getting them out again.

One more piece of advice, go with a habitat passed stocking. Do not mix and match monsters from all different ecosystems. So stick to all Amazon fish for example.

I'd personally go with an SA setup. I'd probably have a group of aro's ( silvers or blacks.... don't hate on silvers.... they're still sweet as hell ), some fei fengs, probably a group of m. uranoscopus (maybe try to get them to breed in that tank), some geos, and end it off with a couple pairs of rays... ideally i'd have some leopoldi and motoro... oh, and maybe a juruense or tig or two for fun...

The possibilities are endless though... I could cone up with different combos for that tank all day...

That is a dream, very nicely done Blaker!

That tank definitely needs rays. keyword RAYS.

Datnoids, aros, rtgg, tigs and must have CICHLA - but cant keep the balas :(

Your options are endless, either way please keep us all posted with updates as we love MONSTER movements like this here on MFK

Very nicely executed.

Looking forward to seeing it stocked

You can even put dividers and have 2,12 foot sections then you can do two different kinds of fish that might not be suitale with eachother................just a thought:D:D:D:D

since you already have the bala's i would go with a centerpiece asian aro. throw in some rotkeil severums for a different shape. definitely go with rays. get a fire eel for sure that would grow fast in that size of a tank. and then you could get some misc. cichlids like JDs or GTs

If you don't mind me asking, what is that you do? For instance, if you are a pediatrician, I know those kids would love to watch some stingrays in the sand. If you are a lawyer, go with power...maybe a black or red tail aro?

We make software. What's a GT? I like the asian arowana idea and stingrays. I'm also thinking severums and a colorful school of something?
