I've started taking in unwanted fish and fish that have outgrown there tanks. Soon we are adding a lot of plants and caves.

Can anyone identify the fish in the last 3 pics?
those 2 last fish look like convict cichlids, if u have a male n female they most likely will pair up n breed like crazy, i once had a pair and ended up with 500000000 offsprings but now i only have the father of the convicts

You guys kill me.

The last picture is indeed an Acara ('Aequidens' pulcher)
Not a nasty fish at all.
It is NOT a Jack Dempsey.

The second to last picture is a Convict (Archocentrus nigrofasciatus)
It's a male.

The fish pictured above the convict looks to be a Bumble bee Cichlid (pseudotropheus Crabro) and is an african cichlid. Males are black and blue, females are yellow and brown stripped, like a bumble bee, hence the name.

It's indeed a nice sized tank. If I were you (and I'm not) I'd just keep taking in wayward fish. But then again that's what I do :)

Good luck, and stay away from the large predators like TSN or RTC or that's all you'll have left in the tank. Rays would be nice but I don't think you feel like having all the substrate changed to sand do you? Just keep rescueing, it'll be more rewarding and it'll show your clients that you care :)

If you have any further questions feel free to pm me.

:iagree:100%

I cant stop thinking about this tank haha the possibilities are endless, but I think you made a good choice.

I love the tank. I think maybe a couple more Oscars in there would be perfect.

personally i would have planted it heavy with Jungle Val. and add about 100 or cardinals and watch them school in the tank.

that or a school of 50 RBP.

but fish keeping is all about what you want!

Its a dempsey in the last pic. Not a blue acara

It's an acara, not a dempsey. Looks like a pulcher, but could be a hybrid within the "aquedins" circle. Definitely not a dempsey though.
