  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What do you guys think of this list? Nothing definite just a rough draft

2 x Vieja Synspila

2 x Vieja Fenestratus

1 x Vieja Zonatus

1 x Salvini

2 x Firemouth or Green Terror

1 x Bichir

Are there different variations of the vieja? For example are there different variations of the synspila or fenestratus?

Sorry man, but i think that an arowana would be fine in a 300 gallon. I mean, if anything at least it is a way better home then the average consumer that impulsively buys the fish can provide...

disagree, minimum on here in the stickys is 375g and the op wants other fish too... better than the average consumer in no way means adequate. i am guilty of it myself but that doesnt stop me giving sound advice, i had a 23 inch giant snakehead in mytank for a short while and it look ridiculous... comparable to a hamster in a small lunch box.

Is leave the firemouth out. Too small and not aggressive enough. At least salvinis are usually psychopaths.

I would leave out GT with this group

Yeah that makes sense. What about a jaguar cichlid or would that be too aggressive? Or I could go with a couple eartheaters

Jags get big and aggressive. They would work in a 300 depending on whats in there with them. If I were you, I'd look at the Synspillum, Zonotus and Fene with maybe a GT or female Festae... that tank would look sweet.

I think a green terror would be alright. I'm also thinking about the green severum. What do you guys think about the green texas?

I'm definitely going with
-synspila
-fenestratus
-zonatus

I'm just thinking of a couple smaller cichlids to add some different color to the tank

A Texas isn't a smaller cichlid. With those viejas you'll have some awesome color in the tank. The salvini will be colorful too.
