do a peacock mantis shrimp!!!!
or.. a pistol shrimp..
ha do the peacock mantis though.. I mean .. you'd have to do just that...
but really it'd be awesome

you will want to go a bit slower then that. the tank will need some time to cycle around 3 weeks or whenever the ammonia spike hit 0ppm and the nitrite spike hit 0ppm. Then its safe to do a water change and add a little stock slowly. You may need to add some cooking shrimp (cocktail shrimp) to get the cycle started. Most of the time live rock will not be enough to really get the tank going.

if you have honest-to-goodness fully cured rock (like you took some out of your buddies 6 month old tank) you can stock it immediately..

but most stores sell their semi-cured rock as fully-cured.. so just go slow and test it to make sure you're not going to kill the first installment of fish

when i did my 10 gallon i used rock out of a tank (one RIGHT next to it as a matter of fact) and it had no ammonia or nitrite spike so i added a jawfish later that week

Sounds like you have some good advice here. They pretty much covered most of what I was going to say.
