New 3500 gallon tank- trying to decide what fish...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The glass wall addition sounds good, but probably not feasible. I'm a African fan myself. I have a 300 I'm wanting to convert. (Monsters) If you were closer I'd consider donating my stock. It's been pointed out that darker fish will not show well. So...koi or African. A clean up crew. Whatever you go with, Enjoy!

So whatever happened with this? We need updated pics and stock list immediately! Slacking on your duties :D

if it's a pond koi's will be nice and colorfull for it.

I know it's old and stale, but koi is most practical I think. They look great. They are everywhere and in people backyards for good reasons, after all.

i would go with African Cichlids

you can pick them up for next to nothing and they breed very fast so you would have many fish in there after 6months many many more than you would put into the tank/ pond,

if you put some gravel /rocks in a few corners for them to breed and grow fry in youw ill soon have a exremly colour full tank and very well populated

good luck with it i carnt wait too see what you end up puting in there

how about.... if it's in your budget I'd say pay to put some glass around it to raise the water level several feet. then you'd have a better choice of fish because you could look through the side as well as the top. although I think while you're at it you might as well put a lake where the atrium thingy is and put an arapaima or 2 in. it might be a bit cheaper and more worthwhile.
You forget about the feeding cost . . .:nilly:
