This is a very common misconception... These lights are easy to hang or build into hoods, much cheaper & more powerful than most aquarium-specific LED units, and have the ability to do much more than just white w/blue moonlights. The video shows everything that it can do, not what would look best on a fish tank. Obviously you would not use the strobe or flashy color-changing functions, but you could program a very smooth transition throughout a 24-hour period from nice pastel yellow-orange for the morning to a bright white (whatever color temp you prefer for your white) for the day time, then slowly fade down to a reddish sunset & finally a blue moonlight. In addition, you can control the color-shift & dimming functions seperately for total flexibility. With independent control of the red/green/blue LED's, you can make over 16 million colors or you can just make THE perfect white. You simply program the shifts & tell it when to repeat the cycle. And yes, most of these units are splash-resistant & some are even available in IP68 submersible versions.
How much more would this unit cost if it were made by Current/Coralife/Hagen/etc. and marketed FOR aquariums? I say they would easily want double that price.
EDIT: Jeez, I just read that back... Can you tell I used to sell these things?!
The xp4 isn't on the 450g. It's actually on my 225g. Also yes I do have a few pics and I posted them up in the Arowana boards. I will post some new ones in a few days cuz I picked up a few additions. I'll post them when they are added. Stay tuned
