What was the problem/solution with the tank overheating?

Sorry forgot to update you guys...it's one of the Reeflo Snapper 18 pump....We think it could be the bearing being shifted during shipping and hence not aligned and heating up the water at the head at the impeller side. It was the one that was making more noise and since I've turned it off over a 1 1/2 weeks ago the temp has gone from 89 to 78-79...I've got my heaters set at 80 so water is at a constant 80 degrees....getting replacement sent to me from the good folks at Reeflo.

Tell me about it!...10 degrees from one pump!....but in anycase mystery solved...so hopefully those who followed this thread will learn a little from my brief grief with the heat!....that's what these threads are I guess we all learn from each other!

Put in my overflow silencer that I had Tenecor make....WOW...it's like going from the Niagara Falls noise level to an underwater fall!....next to no noise from the overflow

I would say US has like 100% more...my tank and entire setup was from Tenecor in Arizona!....LOL....so if you come back can I post an order with you to bring some over the border for me! LOL

I was actually looking for the same thing someone that goes that way to bring some back for me.

wow one bad pump makes a HUGE difference. Way to investigate man. Any new pics ?
