New 55gal tank

I use a cascade 1000 on my 55 gallon and am very happy with how it has performed. Also sand is the only type of substrate I use!

I just switched to Quikrete brand pool filter sand from lowes and it's awesome. I have about a bag and a half, 75 lbs total, in my 75 gallon tank. You would probably be ok with 50 lbs.

So Lowes and Home Depot didn't have anything nor did my lfs. He tried to talk me out of using sand. And he could only get it in 5 lbs bags. So is there any links y'all could send me to order on line??

Amazon has pfs for 6.37 for a 50 lb. bag.

Go look in the pool care section at lowes, that is where the the filter sand is. It is like $5-6 per 50 lb bag. It is very light color.
