hello all im not sure if this is the correct place to post this thread or not (im new here)
but I just purchased a 65 gallon Aqueon tank and stand and got it stocked a few days ago, this is my 2nd tank the first being a 20g I have been maintaining for one year. I wanted this tank to be a aggressive/semi and my pride fish is a baby tiger Oscar about 3 inches long. I am also running a bala shark & two angels. I am considering topping the tank off with a needlenose gar but I am not sure if im already overstocked or not.
any opinions or input would be great guys and I plan on uploading content of my Oscar growing rate and eating patterns at least one per week on my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/S10drggn2

the clown loach you see in my youtube video will be going to a new home in a few days so he is not to be considered

Yah you need to get rid of some things first off is the tank cycled... Next bala sharks need a school of 4 minimum and need at least a 125 gallon preferably a 180 gallon so get rid of him the angels don't belong, with an oscar either he will kill them more than likely and they make your tank overstocked with the oscar. I would rehome everything except for the tiger oscar. And 1 more question is it a 4 foot tank?

I think their only 3' wide.

I was going to suggest a tankmate but not now you can keep an oscar in it but In all, honesty a 4 foot tank would be better in,the long run but you can keep a solo oscar

Yea it's not preferable but it's adequate so i figured to leave it at that and suggested Maybe if he really wanted something else one of the smaller plecos that max out at about 5 or 6 inches.

Yeah I mean he could possibly but when the oscar reaches about 12 inches he could eat an adult bristle nose if it chose to I just would leave the oscar in it alone. I was going to suggest a medium sized syno cat if it was a 4 foot tank but I wouldn't do,it in a 3 foot tank.

Yea do it at your own risk. Wondering if the tank size will stunt the growth of the Oscar some tho.

It shouldn't stunt if he keeps up with water changes it will need to be done twice a week once it gets larger for now 1 50 percent a week should be fine
