New 65G tank stocked need opinions!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
True. Guess im used to a lot of people ( my buddies included ) who I'm happy if they do it once a month but he's asking questions so def starting off the right way.

Exactly haha and I know the pain there all these people ask how I get my fish to grow and how they actually live years. I just tell them it's all about water changes if you maintain, tanks it's amazing what these fish do for ya!

Thank you Joshua & freshwater I was honestly not aware a Bala shark got that big and as far as the Angels go I read somewhere that they would be ok with the Oscar because of their body shape, but if you honestly think otherwise then I prolly need to consider rehousing them as well, the tank measurements are 36.4x18.4x25. So I honestly cannot get away with another tank mate besides a smaller pleco and that is risky?

It is a wide enough tank for the Oscar but not much swimming room. If you're set on having a Oscar I would keep him solo.

Short term, your stock can work out for a bit. Long term, the Oscar needs a bigger tank.

Yeah I would advise only the oscar and in all reality you might just hold off on the oscar until you can get a 4 foot 75 gallon that would do much much better for one! I know you love the oscar but you could rehome the oscar and Bama shark and set up a tank around the angels then you could have a tank, full of fish in that set up!

I seen a decent deal on a 75g marine land but I went with the better price and in my opinion brand but I would ultimately like to end up with a 120-150g tank for the Oscar & friends, I think I am going to remove everything except the Oscar and angels and run them for a few months and possibly shoot for a bigger tank down the road

I'm going to end up getting a bigger tank and rehouse the Oscar and keep the Angels and build around them with the 65g maybe add some silver dollars
