Update!

Got the insulation in last night and liner down. I temporarily installed the liner and put about 5" of water in it to let it pull down the liner and sit for a day. When I get home tonight I plan on permanently installing the liner for good!!

Well the only wood I have had to buy has been the sheets of plywood. Everything else has been sitting in the shed since I bought our house. Saved some money there...the most expensive was the Firestone 45mil pond like at $170. With insulation and screws I've prolly spent prolly around 70 bucks....so very cheap for me since I had all the wood!

Yeah, if I would have done anything different it would be to put all the braces on the outside. Working he pond liner around them sucked lol...got the sand in and a little more water. This weekend I plan on filling it at least half way and putting my fx5 on it to get it cycling. The pool filter is running my my 300 gallon stock tank, so that will be the last thing I install before filling it up all the way...

Update! Getting there but not done! I've got about 16" in right now running with an fx5 to cycle it. Once it's ready and the water is warmed up, I'll put the fish in...then I can unhook the filter from the other tank...drill a hole at 17" and install the bulk head and Install the filter and fill it the rest of the way up!

Looking good. I like how you wrapped the outside of it. That sand was looking dirty!! Lol. As far as humidity goes I like the way uraujoey covered his tank, you might take a look at it. If I remember right he used some foam and then greenhouse pannels. Only problem with that is visablity. But you could put glass or acrylic panels in between every so far so you could look in without removing the panels.
