new 75

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I didn't see that post sorry to hear that BigG.

I personally refuse to keep any clowns in my tanks because everyone starts calling em Nemo.

If I had a 75 sitting around I would go for an all natural filtration. Add some sea grasses and make a reef/planted saltwater tank. I would stock it only with fish that stay under 4 inches. I just really like the look of planted reef tanks. I like the whole idea of providing the most natural environment possible. I'll steal an image from google lol

I haven't been able to find much sea grass that would do well in a tank like that. One thing that would look cool is a forest of mangroves and get some garden eels. they are harder to feed but look awesome in tanks devoted to them.

well i was going to add some algeas (shaving brush, fan, halimeda, palm caulerpa etc) just because i like the way they look

i've been looking into the nova extreme and they have a 48'' 4 bulb and a 48'' 8 bulb for just about twice the price.. T5's of course

i'm just wondering if it's REALLY worth it

if i don't get the lyretail hog i'd be looking into like a bimaculatus hog or some other dwarf wrasse, mccosters, choat, jordani, etc

i don't think i want garden eels, i'm stearing away from devotee tanks

oh and chalk bass

im definately getting a chalk bass

so far the definite are chalk bass, jawfish, and some kind of small wrasse

bump..
goin to start working on the tank tommorow if i can get sand

still reting to find a place that sells oolitic sand

small wrasse + lubbocks wrasse--great color, doesnt get any larger then 5 inches and has a great personality.

would it be a safe bet to say that your getting a Blue spot jaw?? seriously, are you :) lol

i would but they are rather hard to come buy here.. im parranoid enough about ordering cry stuff over the net.. i don't think i can handle fish yet, lol
besides i'll be spending enough money as it is.. no i think im just getting pearlies

alright so i got about 90 pounds of oolite sand in there with about 35 pounds of base rock
i'm going to get a double bakpak skimmer tommorrow for $120

then fill 'er up, add the salt get some crappy base rock and get her running later this week

i would but my brother took all the SD cards (the only cards our cameras work with) when he went to school

i'll need to buy a new one.. but you haven't missed much it's just base rock and sand at this point
