OK revival time

half my tank is currently dead and i need more ideas for fish..

in about a wek i could start re-adding fish (after treatment)

any more ideas floating out there on the interwebs?

Well...do you know why your fish died? don't just start throwing stuff back in there.

also don't get that t5 light...t5 are only 100% efficient if they have the wrap around reflectors...I don't think the ones you were looking at have them. Get a TEK fixture they are very nice and have the right reflectors. I have a 48 inch one I just got to replace my MH and I love it.

i've been told to get the TEK light.. but i can't find it anywhere.. does anybody have a link to it?
from what i can find on google it's supposedly for horticulture.. if i get the right color bulbs i can just use it on SW right?
would it be cheaper at a plant place or a fish place?

www.marinedepot.com has them in stock usually. Fairly decent on pricing too, there the only reputable dealer i know of.

about the fish and stuff, from one friend to another, id hate to see anything else happen to current and future fish. Why not let the tank sit as it is now for a few weeks longer. like maybe 3. That will allow the cycle of any disease either die off or become present again, that way you get get it taken care of. In the end you know your tank better then we do, and i trust your judgment.

yeah i know i should.. but i'd like to find out/work around the tang issue as soon as possible..

it was a big enough risk getting him when i did but that was a small window that i saw for the first time in about 1 1/2-2 years
as you should know i have very little patience (even though its one of the most advocated thing i stand by)

i'm just really pissed and my inner child is starting to take over, lol

i've already decided that realistically my next purchase should be the light.. but i still want to get an idea for stuff now.. if i just don't think about this kind of stuff for the month or so it's going to take me to get the money for the light i think i might just shoot myself in the foot to keep busy, lol

by the way.. im not sure if i asked already.. but would the 6 bulb TEK light be fine for a few, upper tank, SPS.. like monti cap and birdsnest? or the 4 light for LPS like acans, blasto/micromussa, brain, bubble, etc..

im trying to get this written off as a christmas present.. but i dont think it'll work if it's $460 lol

bump...

I have a pink nose wrasse on reserve untill friday

ok.. today my grammistes blenny died.. he was looking skinny for a LONG time and didn't eat well.. so im not too shocked..

i guess this is kind of a good thing cause i've been eyeing an ORA grammistes pair on liveaquaria...

more updates as it develops

It could be problems with the water...? it sounds like some of your other fish have died to. Like I said before dont keep throwing stuff in.
