  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Can you take apicture of the whitespots, might be something else.
The bichir doesn't have them anymore, but Ill keep an eye out. Is there anything that looks like ick that I should watch out for?

EDIT: Actually, if you Zoom in on the first picture, you can see a few white spots on its head.

So its been a week and this guy hasn't eaten anything. According to the sticky, I shouldn't be worried too much, but I am a little worried. I haven't tried feeding anything other than pellets, however. I don't want to put tilapia / shrimp in this tank, it took me 2 months to get my goliath on pellets, don't want to risk it reverting....

Complicated if your tigerfish already pellet trained. No introduction to market shrimp anyways. Takes longer to digest. It may be taking a while to settle in.

Wouldn't worry too much about the lap not eating part in the beginning. It happens. My 17/18" weeksii didn't eat fo the frst 3 weeks. Now it just nibbles on a few pellets and tilapia, but haven't noticed any weight loss.

Possible solution: maybe sinking pellets or massivore soaked in bloodworm juice. Most of us polykeepers would try wiggly worms, but feel your predators may go after.

Yeah, I use hikari massivore sinking pellets for all my fish. I guess this guy is just taking time to settle in. I mean there have been instances where in the pellet is right in front of its damn face, it doesn't even acknowledge it. Its stomach was pretty fat when I got it, and the LFS owner told me that it eats everything, so thats good I guess. And if try putting in some nightcrawlers, the wolf will get them even before the bichir smells it I'm sure lol.
