Nothing happened to her, she's still alive and getting more beautiful every time I see her.
The real estate wanted to put the rent on my house up more than I could afford, so my ex took it over and has all our animals with him. I'm currently trying to get another house. When I do I'm getting a custom "low" stand made for Rivers tank so that I can take her, the current stand it 3' tall and I can't do maintenance on it without risking injury, so a shorter stand is needed.

I might actually get onto Jeff to take some pics of her for me, she's getting so beautiful..

And I hear ya on the tall stand problem. Mine is on a 3’ stand as well, plus a canopy >.< I have to use a three step ladder and still can’t reach the bottom of the tank.
It would be awesome if he’d take some pictures. River is such a gorgeous girl.

And yeah, I'm 5'3 so the tank + stand is almost as tall as I am, the top is it is just above my eye level - that's why my ex used to do the majority of her maintenance.

I'd take pics myself but every time I visit her light is off and I don't want to turn it on and confuse the poor girl.

Anyways, keep up the good work with Oliver, he's getting to be quite the beautiful beast.

Big tanks are a challenge for us shorties.
Understandable that you don’t want to turn the light on. I keep my lights off almost all the time. When I turn them on it can startle them. But they do get lots of natural light.
And thank you. Hopefully his eye issue rights itself soon. I hope it’s nothing too serious.

While watching the tank yesterday I noticed Oliver has gotten some orange in his bottom anal fin trailer. It’s just a small bit, very hard to get a picture of since he won’t stop moving.


You can see just a hint of it here, but again not the best shot. I wish he would hold out all his fins and be still for just a moment. Lol

Just an observation; Greenie has been very eggy but refusing to spawn. I need to check the tank temp, but I know it’s been on the cold side.
Neither one of the girls has spawning this month, but the rainbowfish have been spawning like crazy.

Just a quick updated picture of Oliver. His trailers are growing back from Greenie nipping them off. You can see the orange tips on his anal fin better now.


I think his head has grown a little
