Excellent work on grooming and raising. He's the most impressive GT I've seen.

What do you think it was that helped his nuchal humps to grow to that size?

I think being kept with a large aggressive female from the start may have had some part in it. Then when I had the two females in with him and the second female started to get more aggressive his head grew huge!
The downside is that eventually the females aggression became too much and started to cause health issues for him.
I do have his son back in the tank with him again now. They get along well. Oliver will give a slight charge on occasion and snap his jaws at him, but nothing more then that. And neither one ever shows signs of aggression being inflicted when I’m not around(no nipped, torn or damaged fins/scales)

Im sure genetics play a part as well. He was wc so I don’t have a breeder to refer to though.
