Do you have unused Filter sponges? Might be worth putting them against the side walls.

No, I don't. I tried the cardboard trick again but it didn't work this time, he just started swimming against the front pane at that point.

He's still doing it, incessantly at that. It looks like something took a bite out of the tip of his caudal fin that's not growing back and he broke off a small piece of one of his pectoral spines. This fish is just in bad condition now.

I know the is an old thread, but how did the pangasius work out for you? I am struggling with the same issue right now. I have two babies in my 75 and one has been swimming against the glass since sunday, so I added another yesterday and it hasn't made any difference.
