I don't buy fish from the local fish shop very often but this little fella caught my eye.

The LFS owner had it labelled as a blue Acara but i have my suspitions and he probably has a bit of green terror in it.

It had 70% of the tank to himself and everything else was cowering in the corner.

Obviously i took him home straight away....hahaha

He is quite a little cutie don't you think, he has some attitude and has bullied his way into my 180 gallon with larger cichlids.

He is only 1.5 - 2inch. Still a tiny baby yet. You could tell that he was different than the others in his tank. He was slightly bigger and had the noticeable bump on his head. + the lovely yellow and red fringe on his tail and dorsal which you can’t really see properly in the pics.

There was another one in the tank that looked different too. I bought him too. He was smaller but has longer fins. Same attitude though. They both almost jumped out of the bag at the LFS and also when i was getting them acclimatized to the quarantine tank.

Don't think he will feel dominant in the tank with my bigger cichlids, he is too tiny.

I will keep you posted of his progress. If he is a false GT/Blue Acara cross then he may not grow too large.

Updated pics of the green terror I'm glad i went back for this one.

He is getting a very handsome boy and is the boss of my 90gal.
