new agression with yellow labs w/ pics

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If I have to remove yoyo I will. But I really like his Style... lol He is ALWAYS on the bottom feeding.

And I have learned to NEVER trust a LFS guy.

Glad there are peeps like you guys that are willing to reteach peeps like me.

Thanks for all the info I have received.

Not all LFS stores are untrustworthy, but in your case before I buy anything from them again I would run his Bull past the guys here and see if sinks or swims! If you get my point?

I hope you have another source for fish though!
From the sounds of this fool and his store I would be finding someone online to do business with if there was not another LFS.

Who knows you may find someone here that is close enough to you to sell you cichlids, and they would know what they were talking about.:headbang2

Good point! I agree :)

you shouldnt have to remove the yoyo, hell be fine with the type of fish you have or are condsidering getting, unless you want your cichlids to succefully breed in which case the yoyo would definatley eat the eggs. I was sad the day i got rid of mine. they really have alot of personality and spunk, also they are extremely fast when they wanna be.

My labs have been really aggressive lately too.

Well I traded the Flowerhorn for the demasoni, and the aggression in my tank has become all but non existent.

Except the yoyo keeps chasing the catfish around... lol

But I added a lot more hiding spots, changed the terrain around.

Good move Cuppie. I think that's better for your stock all the way around, but don't forget, Ps. Demasoni isn't exactly a peaceful Mbuna either. As time progresses, keep a watchful eye out. Males of that species are extremely dominant.

Be careful not to crowd the tank. I don't like to "overstock" cichlid tanks but to give each fish their space. Give the Labs some time and you might see some babies. Mine multiply all the time and am on what must be 6 or 7 generations. I keep the tank at 78-80 but in the summer the tank hits 82 and the breeding is fierce.
