Yeah, I saw that. Very cool. *MIGHT* come close, but since it's too deep to navigate down there, I think mine still trumps...

Being Italian, my mom and I used to joke about how much sauce it would take to make Calamari with an Architeuthis, or even a Humboldt...

It's not really raw, it's boiled. I don't like ANY seafood/fish/etc. fried. To me it just makes it taste - FRIED. I think people do that cuz they don't like the actual taste. I also eat sushi/sashimi, clams on the half-shell, oysters, etc., so I'm all about the actual taste.

My mom died 2 years ago, but I couldn't help thinking back and smiling when I posted that! We were watching a Discovery Channel show about Architeuthis and she kinda just said - "Do you know how much sauce it would take to make Calamari with THAT???". I busted up and thought - "I don't know, but I'd sure like to find out!".

ive had fried calamari and i really liked it, but when i had unfried i didnt like it so much cause i got the "tentacle ring" sorta thing and i thought it tasted a little rubbery. ive never acually tried real sushi and if i get the chance i deffinently will. im sorry about your mom:( . but at least you smiled when you thought about it. leave it to discovery to create a wonderful family moment.:)

I love the tentacles, fun to chew! I like the consistency of the "rubbery" aspect. Such is what makes people different. :grinyes:

I prefer sashimi over sushi, you can keep the rice and stuff. I just love the fish itself.

Thanks, it's something I would no longer wish on my worst enemy. But to be honest, even after 2 years now, even the good memories are still too painful. But that did make me smile, remembering that moment.

Sorry, now back to /^\onster Fish...

Yeah, it basically is kinda tasteless. There's so many different fish used for sushi and sashimi, I'm sure you'll find something you like. I'm kinda partial to the eel, sea urchin and and any of the other "stronger" tasting fish.

Agreed. No more on stuff like that.

No more new vids, I may try to get something over the weekend. Between the 2, there's nothing else to see in my tank. I would like to try and get one of me hand-feeding my Syno, if he'll go for that again! I could get one of me hand-feeding my O, but I don't think there's one out there that WON'T do that!
He made my wife scream the other night. I had her distract him while I was trying to drop a worm to the CK and she was kinda watching me. Maynard jumped out of the tank and "bit" her finger looking for food. She screamed like he took her finger off. I just smiled and went about my business, I knew what happened without even looking.
On that note, he's only had 2 worms since Sunday. He's grabbed and chewed a few, but didn't eat them. Guess he's not ready yet.

"between the two" did you allready move the O to the 75gal.? well ive only seen O's in real life at the pet store and at my friends house(he got one for his 55gal. i think it was a tiger O. but it died a few days later cause his bichir killed it i think[long story short his senagal is a brute] but ive never seen one hand feed) lol. i think i would scream if an O jumped out of the and bit my finger. eh, the ck will just take a few weeks to get use to everybody like everyone elses i geuss.
