na i like the idea although i would also add a diatom filter and 2 fbf's
Are you serious about the diatom filters and how they work? Let alone how you should use them? Obviously not in this case. And on Fluidised Bed Filters, I rarely ever see people use them in tanks, small, medium and monster.

fbfs are the best biofiltration . they produce such large quantities of bacteria that if ur tank is not populated enough the bacteria dies. fbfs kick ass. i have one on my 5ft and i will definently be using 2 on my 6ft. diatom filters turn water to an extremely pure state and are the best mech flter after reverse osmosis only reverse osmosis is useless because it removes all nutrients. they are a pain in the a** to maintain.

Any new pics of the tank?
Any progress yet...???

Just looked over the thread and the pics. . . wow. . .

Updates??

awesome tank. an expense well worth it no matter how much it costs.

sorry to hijack your thread, but i wanted to build an all glass 90cmhigh x90 wide tank to better house my stingray and aro. however i read somwhere that silicone cant withstand pressures above 30". the article said that the silicone will simply unzip at anything higher than 30".

is that true?
