Just stick with the lightly planted, tetra, cardinal, lush forest look. Keep this in mind, when you do what your missus wants with this tank, just think the opurtunities it'll open up later on. Hehe.
Spent some quality time with the wife yesterday. 5 hours worth in total. Don't think she really knew what she was in for. Yep, it was gravel washing day!!
So, we got all the gravel clean by about 5pm, had some dinner, then started to scoop the 200kg of gravel into the tank. My arms are killing me.
Had that all in by around 6pm, was going to leave it till Sunday to put all the rocks in but decided to go all out rocks and water!
So I did all the lifting and the Mrs told me where to put them. She is entirely responsible for how this tank looks in the rock and gravel department. I think she has done a great job. Couldn't be happier.
So today, I'm hoping to shoot down to the lfs and grab some plants. Should make it look a little more fish friendly.
Pictures of all this will be up later today.
To cycle tanks i'd normally just throw one hardy fish in just to get the cycle started, will the same work here? Or will I need 3 or 4 fish due to the volume of water?
