Depending on what kind of cichlids im selling. Anywhere from 1-4 each for the commons ones. As far as each month goes. It varies from 100-300. It all depends on qty of fish i have and if the stores sell what they have. There are tons of variables in breeding/selling.

The triple stand i built myself for about $60. The iron stand holding the 55 gallon and the 40 long cost a pretty penny, lol. That was appx $250. Filters ran another $200+. So do you see how this hobby is expensive, lol. Its addicting and fun. Just dont tell my wife those figures. She will have me sleeping in the fishroom forever, lol

A 55 gallon tank cost appx $60-$80 and thats just the tank. That doesnt inlcude the lights. a 55 gallon setup with lights stand and filter is going to cost about $175 give or take a few dollars. $1 -$4 is how much i sell some of my cichlids to the stores for. The $100 - $300 is how much i sell each month. Some months less. Depends all on the breeding process and store inventorys. Another key point i forgot to mention that you ask about was how big do the fish have to be to sell. Most pet stores wont take anything under 2 inchs. So your looking at a few months of keeping the fish alive and growing them out. But seeing your from Pakistan i have no clue how much anything costs over there.

Ok to give you a shocker. A 55 that I a building out of 8mm is for 1284 Rs. i.e. $21.4 ($1 = 60Rs). I bought 4 2inch long socolofi cichilds for 200Rs. i.e. $3.33.

But its expensive here.

Yes why? Its not difficult. I am thinking to biuld three and a stand that holds all three. Just want to know can anyone tell me if a wood stand can hold three 55s. What would be the thickness of the wood.

Your a brave man building your own tank. I would be worried about it bursting. I allways keep in mind that a 55 gallon tank is over 400 lbs of water. But if you have the skills and courage i say go for it,lol. As far as the stand goes it shouldnt be to hard be keep in mind thats well over 1,200 lbs of water not including substrate and lights and everything else. So build it doubly strong. Sorry i cant help ya with that one, lol.

I am also going to redo my 35. It started to show bubbles 8 months ago. Once the 55 is done I will open the 35 up and join it again.

Yeah. I was going to build it with 5mm but I got scared. The thought of it bursting up gave me the creeps. The key to it is the braces on the top and bottom. I will add long braces at the bottom with both side and front and back. And I will add 4 braces on the top from front to back.
