Hi all i m new to this forum, i just purchase a baby silver arowana around 4-5 inch and a redtail catfish (similar size).
The arowana look kind of stress or sick, it keep stays the the corner and i drop a dried shrimp in the tank for long time until he eats it.
This is my first time for arowana don't know if his stress to the new environment or sick.

Get him out of that tank!
im not experienced with rtc's but from what i read... they can most probably eat/kill the baby aro!

You might want to have your aro in it's own tank!

Oh boy! Get some floating plants and give it time! Try brine shrimp or blood worms. Hope you have a real big tank!

Wow,what a good forum.
Thanks for the quick reply, i had a 72 gallon tank which i used to stock koi with it but i got bored of koi and decide arowana.
The rtc is still kinda smaller than the arowana so i m not that worry about it getting eat up.

P.S. and a 5-6 inch pleco in the tank also.

You will learn a lot if you like to read and listen. First thing everyone will tell you is your tank is way to small so I might as well be the first. The Arow and RTC will outgrow in 6 months or less. Don't worry if Arow doesn't eat for a few days.

You are going to need about a 180 for the aro and a pong about 8x5x5 for the rtc, these however are the minimum. Hope this helps for the long term.

I don't really worry about out growing because i love it, like i said i got koi before they all outgrow my tank for long time until i give them away.
I will keep an eye on it everyday and let it have a week or so to get with the new environment.

:irked:and this is what happens to most of the poor silver arowana's

I m worry about feeding it when it grow in a size of 12"+, its gonna cost me alot to get him full.

One more question, when his about to eat feeder fish can i just buy alot and throw all them in and let him eat when his hungry or he will eat all even his full.
