How'd it kill a gar?

Could he be needing more swimming space now he's grown some ??.

Weird thing is he hasn’t even grown an inch since I got him LOL. Before he killed the peacock bass and gar, he went on a hunger strike for 2 months. Just randomly decided to stop eating anything, even his favourite hikari pellets.
After his murders, a day after the bass died he started eating. Hoping now he’s eating again he would grow. Maybe it’s a serial killer.

It kept attacking its tail till it was almost gone. Soon The gar started to lose its slimecoat and died shortly after

Haven’t had any troubles lately. Recently found a good offer for 5 tiger hooks 5-8”, which I think is large enough for the arowana not to eat. Will decide more on it after my exams.

The first pics you posted On this thread, I kept looking at The twerking gar . it’s a beautiful specimen, no doubt ?

Home would be undergoing renovation at end of year, would be unable to do water changes for 3 weeks while they’re doing waterworks. Arowanas and bichirs are presumably extremely hardy, hope they would last through.

It was from my 55g. It has died, my arowana killed it overnight. I really don’t understand why my arowana is so aggressive, it can’t stand any tankmates besides bichirs and rays

How big do these moon catfishes grow? (I don’t think that’s their real name) compatibility with bichirs?
