actually a 75g is perfectly fine for your aro momentarily, Ive also had a 2'' silver in a 75... you may think it is too small to starve but Ive starved mine because it wouldnt eat pellets lol....starved 2 days, 3rd day ate half pellet =D
also make sure your temp is always at around 80-83 esp for smaller aros, they are tropical, enjoy your new MONSTER!
Its usually ok for 2 days, but since he just got it, its better to not risk it. Stress+hunger=possible death.

I hope you guys dont mind my rants.. but one thing i noticed that kinda annoyed me about my dads aro before what that ONE eye droop. I heard/read its hereditary, some say its fat tissue, some say its from the fish staring at the bottom, some say its the diet of the fish but i hope i can do my best to avoid this symtom.

agree. A 75 is no problem, as long as it can find its food. It will be at 5" in a months time and before you know it your going to need a bigger tank :)

haha oh dear dont bring up this topic again. Too much debate haha :) Unfortunately for you, there is almost nothing that can be done to prevent some degree of drop eye for silvers.

Theres too many theories, non of which have been proven. I myself believe that its from repeated head trauma. As long as its a silvers, its most likely going to have DE. I have yet to see a 20"+ silver arowana without DE.

I just raised the temp to about 82. And as far as tank size yeah il need to upgrade later on my dads fish was about 2 maybe 2 1/2 years old and started to get cramped, before we got to upgrade the tank it died

I think im going to try a little bit of worms and a couple floating pellets together first and keep lessing the worms till he actually takes the pellets.

When i first got him i read it needs consistent food as a young so i would wake up in the middle of the night just to feed him haha

Not necessary. Small fish generally need to be fed multiple times per day, but that doesnt mean you have to wake up at night to feed it. Try to aim for 2-4 times a day for now and your good. keyword "day" haha :)

There really no need for that, but it just shows how responsible you are about what you keep.

I would say its from lack of space.
