Not necessary. Small fish generally need to be fed multiple times per day, but that doesnt mean you have to wake up at night to feed it. Try to aim for 2-4 times a day for now and your good. keyword "day" haha :)

haha im going to make a habit of usually feed about 11am then 4-5pm then before bed 10-11pm :nilly:

There really no need for that, but it just shows how responsible you are about what you keep.

haha thanks i get really anal and cautious about things like that. on sat i got the fish and that night i read how they like space little or no decoration so they dont hit themselves, and how feeder guppies can have diseases and such ( i had about 10 in there just incase he was hungry at night haha) so next day sunday i took out the rocks 75lbs, plants, and guppies lol

Il post pictures as soon as i can:D

I would say its from lack of space.

my guess would be your right it was getting too big for the tank and when it would jump or dive it would hit his head VERY hard you could hear a loud thump and see alot of water come out.

I hope you guys dont think we neglected our fish (stunts its growth) by any means by keeping it in the smaller tank because we had plans to build a built in tank in one of our walls. It just happened before we got to it =(

Just another point, always begin to upgrade before your aro outgrows your tank. Small tanks won't stunt their growth, they will keep growing and come out deformed.

I used to be concerned when i only physically saw my aro eat only 3-5 worms but i guess since its soo small thats more than enough for him at a time.

75gallon with water and a 2in fish whoohoo haha everybody asks what happened to my fish tank :grinno:

actually small tanks do stunt their growth and decreases lifespan drastically. my friend told me of his friends jar which was in a 10g for life.....he said it was few yrs old and only 7 inches...

Its possible it was 7" in length but most likely was deformed and looked messed up.
