Over feeding has been well documented to cause sudden death in baby tigs, alot of info on this on the net and also on this forum.

Overfeeding isnt 100% going to kill your tig, but it certainly makes it alot more likely, when babys anyway, once over the 6" the sudden death syndrome seems to vanish.

But whatever way you look at it, stuffing your fish full of food is bad for them anyway, so how you can disagree I dont know.

Just as a little edit - overfeeding is one of the biggest fish killers going, regardless of fish type, so how you can try and condone overfeeding as a great thing to do I have no idea.

I have been offering them worms till they stop eating them, they dont look too stuffed but they are certainly satisfied, I put about 50 something guppies in there last night and I woke up to about 3 left haha. they are certainly voracious. It's really amazing how quickly they grow, everytime I look at them they start to look more and more like tigs.

Its okay John, I'm still on your side. My cichla get pounded with food on the regular and have no ill effects so far. I'll admit, I'm being a little bit more cautious with my tigs, only feeding them 4 days a week.
