new barb! very bright!

both of your barbs look amazing. I hope mine turn out like either of yours.

they are very small still though. I have 5 filamentosa barbs in with them:

your colors seem duler then mine ever have...mine looked bright since day one...i do feed alot of market shrimp this might help the red-orange...try something like that to see if your colors can brighten up...the fishes pattern apears to be they just needs stimulating...imo...i hope your fish brighten up...i have seen some look like yours lose all red....i hope it works out and thanx for the compliment...

actually they are brightening up. that shot was a day after I got them and they have gained more colour even in the first week. they love tetra colour bits (which are red) and that will help. I used to have big 12" red tinfoils before but they were 11 years old when I sold them and I can't remember what they looked like when I had them small:

to give you an idea of how small my tinfoils are, here they are in my 150g lol:

I am hoping they colour up a lot more since they are still very small.

when i got mine they were that big...i put them in a grow out tank so my aro wouldn't eat them they grew fast and in maybe 2.5 months they are 5.5" at the smallest...i am going to post a vid of my tank so if your interested in what my school look like in my 6' tank check it out

different barbs are being posted

i thought that their is a few kinds

normal tinfoil
gold tinfoil
and the twin tail tinfoil which has the 2 black stripes on the tail top and bottom like the one in the last picture
