new barb! very bright!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
okay, as far as I understand it, there are two subspecies:

1. the so called red tail tinfoil, with no black lines on the caudal fin or black on the dorsal, that is always claimed to only reach 8" which is total BS as you can see my old ones were a foot long.

2. the standard tinfoil which has the black lines and black on the dorsal that gets to 14"

the gold variety is a colour morph of one of these two species.

not sure which kind I have yet:

they have black on the dorsal, but no black lines on the tail yet.

sooooo...which kind do I have??

they are eating like pigs! and they never get "full".. the other bottom dwellers
cant eat because these tinfoils stay on top and are always on the food. the other fishes cant eat.

aside from that, they are good dither fish and teacher fishes..
