Really?

So Marbles = Motoros? IF you were to call my Marbles "Motoros" I'd take it as an insult, cause it's pretty obvious they aren't plain ol Motoros. IF I was to take plain ol Motoros and sell them as Marbles would I or would I not be false advertising?

You see the belly spotting? Blue eyes? Spotting around the eyes? 3 rows of perimeter spots? Short "flag" tail?
Are motoros and marbles the same species? If yes then marbles=motoros. Again the only difference would be visual which is most likely a result of gene isolation. If you read my post I never claimed a BD is a plain old Leo. A BD is a Leo but a Leo with "enhanced" traits. You would not be false advertising If you sold your marble as motoro but you would if you sold your motoro as a marble. It's like how you can sell a pink diamond as a diamond but you can't sell a clear diamond as a pink diamond although they are both diamonds. I know it's a complex thought to follow. Not easy for the more simple minded. Either way a Leo and a BD are the exact same fish just a slight visual difference. So look at the traits that describe a Leo and a BD and you decide what you have. BD started from a certain collection location. Based off the fish that was collected a series of distinguishing traits are what separated it from a classic Leo however after more research and testing was done on the specimens it was determined that BD and Leo are the same fish. So yes BD=Leo as does Marble=Motoro. That does not mean that a motoro=marble or Leo=BD.

What should become a more common practice is if the ray cannot be determined to be either BD or Leo based off of its traits yet displays some of both then it should simply be sold as a LeoxBD. If the parents both are BD yet the pup turns out as looking Leo should it still be sold as BD? Ethically it shouldn't be but practically it will be. Hence in undetermined rays simply calling it a BDxLeo is the easiest way to go. This would also make sense for the price ranges of Leo-BD rays. Leo's are at the lower end with the less pronounced traits. BDxLeo are in the middle with price showing some good BD traits yet still some Leo look. Then there is the high priced BD that displays strong BD traits with almost no Leo. Think of it as a solid solution spectrum if that helps.
