does anyone know why his tongue is swollen?

Could be the food that it ate and the tongue got scratch and got a bacterial infection. You're water might be not have enough filtration and my guest it's also dirty. Do always do regular water change? Fish don't usually get bacterial infection unless the water is too dirty.

my lapradei had a small shipping wound that wasn't infected though?
