That is a truly beautiful umbrella cockatoo. And on the adoption part of this I have looked into it and I havent had much luck on it. The one that is closest to me you have to be 100 miles away or less and I am around 250 miles away sadly because they had some truly amazing lookin birds. If anyone knows of one close to south eastern Kansas let me know. And the africans have always interested me I will do some research on them. And I will just have to add a pair of black cockatoos to the wish list.haha thanks for all the help already and any more is appreciated.

if your looking for a black cockatoo, better be ready to pay some serious cash! i believe the prices for these, and the palm cockatoo, are up there with the hyancinth macaw, $10~$15k or more!!

i really like the sulphur crested cockatoos also. and the palm cockatoos are beautiful:
