New blood parrot very scared

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Unbelievable. Only minutes after my last post, I took the drift wood out. Literally seines after we removed it, he immediately got up and started swimming upright again. Now he's going in and out of his favorite pot, and "pretending" to act skittish and terrified when I come near him, like usual. Here's another photo for proof

(He's clenched against the side of the pot like that because I'm shoving a camera in his face)

Ah okay. His fins aren't clamped, so that's a good sign at least. Yah definitely keep an eye out, but they can totally be drama queens. So just let it settle, leave it the hell alone, leave the lights off at all costs, don't worry about feeding for now and maybe stealth check up on it if you have to (don't turn on lights, be one with shadows and all that.) Just back off him for now I guess, literally just don't do a single thing more. He's a little fish in a big scary new place and that species can be a bit derp. I know first hand how hard it is to worry when you have a new lil baby that isn't acting perfect right away, it takes every ounce of strength I have not to tinker and fidget in the tank to "make it right" (thus doing more damage in the process)

This forum is probably a really good place to vent and stress about it instead of harassing the fish. :)
