Whoa i was just reading about them(marmorkrebs) and the color morphs. Would love to know more about how you kept that one; Tank size and occupents including decor, supplements added(if any), water parameters, water schedule, food, and feed schedule?
I got about 5 Marmorkrebs and want to more than what i'm finding on the web.
More pic's please heh
Tank Size: 10gal
Tankmates: 3 other Marmorkrebs and assorted cories
Tank Decor: Plastic cave (from Petco), caves created from stacked rocks, moonsnail shells, gravel, plants (hornwort, java fern, anacharis, "lucky bamboo")
Water Params: Temp - 74-76, pH - 7.6
Food/Supplements: No supplements. Food is a rotation of Hikari Carnivore, Algae and Sinking pellets. Assorted veggies once a week (green beans, peas, carrots, etc) and meat scraps once every couple of weeks (turkey, corned beef, fish, etc). They munch on their plants in the tank almost daily, too.
Feed Schedule: Once in the morning, once at night
Water Schedule: Water gets changed 10-20% every other week and the tank gets vacuumed along with it.
However, I removed the blue kreb to her own tank where's she's gotten darker blue. And the others, still regular coloration. *shrugs* I have no idea what's up with it, but the morphing is cool. The white and red krebs look really awesome as well. Seen those yet?
Anyway, check out :

That's Dr. Zen Faulkes page, he's researching these gals. He's got some good info on there and his blogspot.
And no more pics until after the berry, she's away in hiding and I don't want to bug her by digging her out lol
