I read your threads, I know it's a male and has produced fry for you with the BP. How are those coming? Pics? Do you also have pics of the parents of your male? He's nice lookin, keep us updated on these two. Where'd you get the female?
 
could be a interesting spawn for sure, but from the looks of the photos things are not going to well for pairing. sometimes issue i have found with the fighting is the male should be 2times bigger then his mate. if they are close like yours it's possible they will shred each other. gl either way. :D
 
they calmed down alot yesterday. i am hoping that they will be doing better tonight when i get home. i have the tank covered right now with the lights off. the other fry are ranging from 1/4 to 1/2 inch right now. i don't have any pics yet. i can't get my camera to focus on them. it focuses on the glass instead because they are still too small. i am going to move them into a bigger tank soon and hopefully then i can get some pics. i am very hopeful about this current pair forming because i want the best male from this pair to breed with the best female from the fh x bp fry.
 
i forgot to add the fact that these pics were taken right as i put the male in the tank. they fought for about an hour, then they rested, then they were swimming around alot but not fighting. he messed up her long streamers and her tail. she kicked some butt too, but they were getting along better. he is a stud. she should be ready to lay eggs because she hasn't for a long time. he convinced my bp to lay three batches of eggs all with barely 2 weeks in between.
 
they are mad about the color gravel in their tank, they are embarrassed
