New Build ~ 600 Gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A wye is like a tee, but sends the water in one direction of the other. You have a wye... I guess the bigger question is if it's flexible. With the metal straps on all ends, I'm assuming it's flexible. Which is cool, I've not seen that.

Oh I see. Thanks I didn't know what that was called. These are fantastic. A rubber connection that comes with the hose clamps. It's a $5 vs $2 in parts but your back will thank you for the quick switch out time. They come in 1.25" up to 4"+

Incoming drips lines are finished. This is just an extension off of my current system so it is already heated and dechlorinated.

The lines are irrigation line

I like to use these "Y" fittings to split drip lines as a simple manifold. It takes little space and just works.

The drip emitters are 4 gallons per hour each. Opening the ball valves adjusts the flow from 4, 8, 12, 16 GPH.

This is why I like to use these fittings for my drip. It is only a couple of minutes to splice in and add a tank.

I won't leave the emitters like this but they will be fine overnight. I'll build a in-flow box in the morning so my arowana doesn't try to bite at them when she goes in.

How much more efficient is it to have the auto top off in the tank as opposed to in the sump?

The difference isn't huge. I have some dripping in the tank and some in the sump, depending on the design for that tank.
