The stand is assembled, leveled and nursery on. The tank is 48"x24"x10" (50 gallons + 120 gallon sump).

We can easily see underneath and who is eating, what, without having to get on my knees. My wife and I spend a lot of time together when we have young pups. The goal was to make this as user friendly and enjoyable for us as possible.

Looking great but the way that you have the nursary tank set up freaks me out. It just doesnt look like it will have sufficient support. Hopefully it works.

Good luck
Thomas

Thanks Thomas. It isn't finished and I have more beams to add as support. I just don't want to muscle those in until I am done needing access down there. It's strong enough and then some for how I have it designed.

It looks scetchy in pictures but it isn't and is very sturdy.

Is that one of those Zoomed frag tanks? I've been eyeing those, they are cool little grow out tanks.

I also thought of you last night when I was hooking up my controller and dealing with the probes. Do you have a fancy method for setting up the probes? Or just suction cups in the sump? With as nice as your setup is I'm surprised I haven't seen inline probe holders lol

It is a zoo med frag tank. I really like them. I also looked them up yesterday and they are not tempered so they can be drilled.. Hmmmm

I got the magnetic probe mount from Apex. Just need something to hold them securely and adjust to different water levels. Old below pic but it's on the right hand side of the end table with the white knobs.

Cool, I might have to grab one when mine start putting out pups. Would be easy enough to drill and plumb right into the rest of the system.

I've seen those Apex probe holders, does it do a pretty good job of holding tight? I've seen mixed reviews on them which is why I haven't grabbed one. Right now I just have my probes sort of dangling in the water. It works but I suspect there is a better way of doing it lol

It fits really well. You can order one by itself on amazon for about $30. It would work with most brand probes. This sump is 1/2" acrylic so I would prefer an option for a stronger magnet but it works well for what you would expect. The plastic screws to secure the probes are very tight which I like a lot.

It's beautiful. Love the pup tank next to the main raised up like that.

Thanks bro. I think I have an idea for that screen. I may try and do some mini sieves in the sock holding areas. Thanks again for hooking me up

You are going to have a lot of fun sticking your heads under that tank! Awesome :)
