New Build ~ 600 Gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh thx for the tip about heating the knuckles over the stove... worked like a charm.

How long do you have to tinker with the tank after water is in before those pups arrive ? Do they typically mess with things as high as the highest locline ?

The adults mess with everything. Rays are inquisitive and playful. I will have pups before this tank is wet. Two overdue females at the moment. They will pop any day now. You're welcome on the loc-line tip. Thanks for the reminder. I forgot about that

With the returns where they are I'm concerned about an empty tank come a power outage?

What tank might you be selling?

Edit- duh closed loop

Yeah the closed loop makes it a non issue. I may be selling my 6x3 250 gallon or the same footprint in 330 gallons. It will depend on what's left when I get to the last two tanks.

The first newborn tank is home. These are nice. Glass, black silicone and rather affordable brand new at $108. 48" x 24" x 12" is a great footprint for very young pups. I ordered another as well and intend to change the plan to go two high over the Ultima's.

My wife and I want to be able to see them from underneath while they feed. We enjoy pellet training and working with young pups.

Sick pup tanks, seeing under is perfect for making sure everyone is feeding and getting chubby, of course your pup's end up being born chubby so they might not need the extra attention.

Thanks Richard. They are always fat lil guys aren't they? We do like to feed over here..

I was jealous, it took all of the pups I've raised some TLC to get the chubby tails your guys have fresh out of the womb.

Thanks. We enjoy feeding and working with them.

We'll see on this next litter. Dad is P14 and momma is BD. It's a smaller litter, I am guessing 3. The P14 x henlei were also 3 and finicky eaters. I hope they are fat. It will take me a while to get these tanks set up.

You're taking the time to do it right and I imagine as you've always dreamed. No doubt you could rig up the ultimas over night if you just wanted to get it done, but we all appreciate taking the time to do it right here.
