A recent discovery in Brazil revealed the largest known species of caecilian amphibian. It's more than twice the size of the next known species of caecilian. Dubbed the [male anatomy] Snake (due to its resemblance to part of the male anatomy), Atretochoana eiselti attains the length of about 30". It has no gills or lungs and is believed to 'breath' solely through its skin.
