Depends how big he gets, the max recorded size is 2.3 meters for a male, but the average size is 1.5 m at maturity. The grow rate is very slow beyond 90 cm though, it'll take 10 years to put on another foot. So it'll last him for a while, eventually the 6'x4' pond will become the water area for a larger enclosure.is this enclosure big enough for ylf??
He was a really good deal. Also I like the heavy dorsal armour of the trig. Plus they are more terrestrial as adults, hence the 2/3 land make up of the enclosure.Looks friendly. Any reason you chose this species over P. palpebrosus, or just down to cost/availability?
