It's a nice shot but it's out of focus. Also needs more light. You probably should up the ISO and shutter speed. It'll take better pictures of fast moving objects like moving fish. Also you should try setting it to marco and maybe it'll focus better when you're closer to your subject.

i did have macro on with supressed flash and natural light mode with a tripod but as i said the water is slightly cloudy, would carbon be safe as i have live plants in there

iso was at auto and im not sure what shutter speed it was at ill have a look

well it means it cant be that bad a pic if i can tell in the background you have chosen the same fake plant as me!!!
