Title says it all.
This is my first (what I consider) “fancy” camera. Haha. It was an early Christmas gift from my husband?
I’m incredibly excited to learn how to use all the features, but I have zero photography knowledge. All I’ve used for years is my phone camera.
I’ve jumped right into taking a few pictures, and it’s been ok. Just not the quality I want yet. And I know it’s going to take lots of reading/videos, practice, and patients before I get the shots I want.
I’d love any advice on things to try, videos that might be helpful, anything really I’ve already started reading the pinned post in here on taking aquatic pictures. That alone is very helpful. I just haven’t figured out how to adjust settings on the camera itself yet. The manual that came with the camera hasn’t been the most helpful. I’ve been reading tomsguide, but it hasn’t shown how to adjust settings on the camera itself.
I’ll use this thread to document my progress as I learn.
Anyhow, these are a few shots I’ve taken using the P setting.
I didn’t clean the glass before taking this. I didn’t even realize how streaky the glass was?
And I’m not sure how to avoid getting eye shine like this. It looks horrible.
